''The Voice of Ireland'' is the Irish edition of the international TV franchise '' The Voice'', a reality singing competition created by media tycoon John de Mol Jr. The first series began airing from 8 January 2012 on RTÉ One. The coaches originally were Bressie, Sharon Corr, Kian Egan and Brian Kennedy. Kennedy left after the first series and was replaced by Jamelia. After the second series, Corr quit the show owing to other commitments and was replaced by Dolores O'Riordan. Following series 3, Dolores and Jamelia quit. The coaches for series 4 were Bressie, Una Healy, Kian Egan and Rachel Stevens. The show was hosted by Kathryn Thomas and co-hosted by Eoghan McDermott, who also presented backstage show '' The Voice After Party'' in Series 3. ''Dancing with the Stars'' is an Irish reality television series, airing on RTÉ One, that started on 8 January 2017. It is currently hosted by Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy. The show is based on the original UK version, ''Strictly Come Dancing'', and is part of the ''Dancing with the Stars'' franchise. The judging panel currently consists of Arthur Gourounlian, Loraine Barry, Karen Byrne and Brian Redmond. Production In August 2016, it was confirmed that RTÉ One would broadcast an Irish version of ''Dancing with the Stars'', which would replace the successful ''The Voice of Ireland'', which was cancelled in order for the broadcaster to order the new show. ''The Voice of Ireland'' is an Irish reality talent show. The third series began airing on 5 January 2014 on RTÉ One. Kathryn Thomas presents the main show, while Eoghan McDermott co-presents. Bressie, Kian Egan and Jamelia returned as coaches while Dolores O'Riordan replaced Sharon Corr who left after the second series. The first episode aired on 5 January. RTÉ 2fm, or 2FM as it is more commonly referred to, is an Irish radio station operated by RTÉ. The station specialises in current popular music and chart hits and is the second national radio station in Ireland. ''The Voice of Ireland'' is an Irish reality talent show. The second series began airing on 6 January 2013 on RTÉ One. Bressie, Kian Egan and Sharon Corr return as coaches while Jamelia replaces Brian Kennedy, who left the show after the first series. This is the final series to feature Sharon Corr, who is being replaced by Dolores O'Riordan in the next series. Kathryn Thomas returns to present the main show, while Eoghan McDermott returns to co-present and Stephen Byrne covers the backstage V-Reporting.
