''The Tom & Jerry Show'' is an American animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in association with MGM Television. Based on the ''Tom and Jerry'' theatrical cartoon series, which was created by H-B co-founders and former MGM cartoon studio staff William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the show originally aired on ABC from September 6 to December 13, 1975 (for a total of 16 episodes) as the first half-hour of ''The Tom and Jerry/Grape Ape/Mumbly Show'', with ''The Great Grape Ape Show'' representing the series' second half-hour and ''The Mumbly Cartoon Show'' representing the series' third half-hour. This series marked the first time that Tom and Jerry appeared in animated installments produced specifically for television. Comedy
Comedy is a genre of dramatic works intended to be humorous or amusing by inducing laughter, especially in theatre, film, stand-up comedy, television, radio, books, or any other entertainment medium. Origins Comedy originated in ancient Greece: in Athenian democracy, the public opinion of voters was influenced by political satire performed by comic poets in Ancient Greek theatre, theaters. The theatrical genre of Greek comedy can be described as a dramatic performance pitting two groups, ages, genders, or societies against each other in an amusing ''agon'' or conflict. Northrop Frye depicted these two opposing sides as a "Society of Youth" and a "Society of the Old". A revised view characterizes the essential agon of comedy as a struggle between a relatively powerless youth and the societal conventions posing obstacles to his hopes. In this struggle, the youth then becomes constrained by his lack of social authority, and is left with little choice but to resort to ruses which e ...

Stowing Away
A stowaway or clandestine traveller is a person who secretly boards a vehicle, such as a ship, an aircraft, a train, cargo truck or bus. Sometimes, the purpose is to get from one place to another without paying for transportation. In other cases, the goal is to enter another country without first obtaining a travel visa or other permission. Stowaways differ from people smuggling in that the stowaway needs to avoid detection by the truck driver, ship crew, and others responsible for the safe and secure operation of the transportation service. Thousands of stowaways have travelled by sea or land over the last several centuries. A much smaller number of people have attempted to stowaway on aircraft. Many stowaways have died during the attempt, especially in cases of train surfing and wheel-well stowaway flights. Origin The word takes its origin with the expression ''stow away''. This ''stow away'' expression is old and was used for things (such as food), such usage is seen f ...

Quacker (Tom And Jerry)
This article contains the list of characters featured in the ''Tom and Jerry'' animated series, given in the order of the era, they first appeared in. Main Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse Tom (originally called "Jasper") is a bluish grey and white domestic shorthair cat. He is usually, but not always, portrayed as living a comfortable and pampered life, while Jerry (originally called "Jinx"), a brown house mouse, is always living in close proximity to Tom. Despite being very energetic, determined, and much larger, Tom is no match for Jerry's wits. Jerry also possesses surprising strength for his size, sometimes even greater than Tom's, being able to lift items such as anvils with relative ease, and withstand big impacts. Although cats usually chase mice to eat them, it is quite rare for Tom to actually try to eat Jerry. Instead, he tends to compete with Jerry to taunt him (even as revenge) or to obtain a reward from a human (including his owner(s) or master(s)) for catching him o ...
