''The Tenant of Wildfell Hall'' is the first adaptation of Anne Brontë's 1848 The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, novel of the same name, produced by BBC and directed by Peter Sasdy. The serial stars Janet Munro as Helen Graham (The Tenant of Wildfell Hall), Helen Graham, Bryan Marshall as Gilbert Markham and Corin Redgrave as her spoiled and drunkard husband Arthur Huntington. The serial is Lost television broadcast#Wiping, incomplete, as episode one, "Recluse", is missing from the BBC Archive. Plot summary A mysterious young woman arrives with her young son at Wildfell Hall, a nearby old mansion. Felicity Kendal
Felicity Ann Kendal (born 25 September 1946) is an English actress, working principally in television and theatre. She has appeared in numerous stage and screen roles over a more than 70-year career, including as Barbara Good in the television series '' The Good Life'' from 1975 to 1977. Kendal was born in Olton, England, but moved to India with her family from the age of seven. Her father was an English actor-manager who led his own repertory company on tours of India, and Kendal appeared in roles for the company both before and after leaving England. She appeared in the film '' Shakespeare Wallah'' (1965) which was inspired by her family. Janet Key
Janet Key (10 July 1945 – 26 July 1992) was an English actress with a varied career in theatre, film and television from the late 1960s until her death. Career Key was born in Bath, Somerset, and trained at the nearby Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Her stage career included stints with the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, alongside touring and fringe productions.
