Earshot
Earshot is an American alternative metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1999. The band's lineup has changed several times during their existence, with vocalist Wil Martin being the band's sole constant member. After signing to Warner Bros. Records, Earshot issued their debut album ''Letting Go (Earshot album), Letting Go'' (2002), which spawned the hit single "Get Away". Alternative Metal
Alternative metal (also known as alt-metal) is a genre of heavy metal music that combines heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal. Alternative metal bands are often characterized by heavily downtuned, mid-paced guitar riffs, a mixture of accessible melodic vocals and harsh vocals and sometimes unconventional sounds within other heavy metal styles. Post-grunge
Post-grunge is a derivative of grunge that has a less abrasive or intense tone than traditional grunge. Originally, the term was used almost pejoratively to label mid-1990s rock bands such as Bush, Candlebox and Collective Soul that emulated the original sound of grunge. In the late 1990s, post-grunge morphed into a more clearly defined style that married the sound and aesthetic of grunge with a less intense and abrasive tone, rising to prominence that lasted in the 2000s. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Fontana Records is a record label that was started in the 1950s as a subsidiary of the Dutch Philips Records. The independent label distributor Fontana Distribution takes its name from the label. ''Two'' is the second album by American alternative metal band Earshot, released on June 22, 2004. The album would go on to spawn commercial success with the album's first single "Wait" being featured in multiple video games, the album's second single "Someone", as well as garnering significant radio airplay. Studio work on the album began in 2003 after extensive touring in 2002. ''Two'' reached #127 on the ''Billboard 200''. "Wait" became the album's lead single. Although it did not chart as well as the band's debut single "Get Away" from their '' Letting Go'' album, "Wait" is considered a breakthrough hit for the band and helped launch them into further mainstream success.
