James Hinton (born September 12, 1988), known professionally as The Range, is an American disc jockey, electronic musician and record producer. Biography Hinton was raised by his mother, a music teacher, on a farm in Pennsylvania. He began playing drums at about seven years old, eventually developing interests in electronic dance music and Baltimore club music as he entered his college years at Brown University. His studies at Brown included electronic music but focused most heavily on math and physics, elements of which Hinton has since incorporated into his music. Upon graduating with a degree in physics, Hinton briefly worked in a lab and as a music teacher at Brown before turning his attention full-time to his music career with the release of his 2013 album ''Nonfiction''. After spending much of his post-graduate music career in Providence, Rhode Island, Hinton now lives in New York City. Bruce Randall Hornsby (born November 23, 1954) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. His music draws from folk rock, jazz, bluegrass music, bluegrass, folk music, folk, Southern rock, country rock, jam band, rock music, rock, heartland rock, and blues rock musical traditions. Hornsby has won three Grammy Awards: a 1987 Grammy Award for Best New Artist with #The Range, Bruce Hornsby and the Range, a 1990 Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album, Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Recording, and a 1994 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. The Range is an inner suburb of Rockhampton in the Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia. In the The Range had a population of 5,231 people. Geography The suburb is built on the Athelstane Range with Agnes Street approximating the ridge line. History The suburb takes its name from the Athelstane Range, which was named in turn for Mount Athelstane, the name of the house built by lands commissioner William Wiseman circa 1859. The Range Convent and High School is a heritage-listed private school at 263 Agnes Street, The Range, Queensland, The Range, Rockhampton, Queensland, Rockhampton, Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia. It was built from c.1880s to 1930s. It is also known as Our Lady of Good Counsel Convent and School and The Catholic College Residential. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992. History The first Roman Catholic school in Rockhampton was established in about 1864 by Dean Murlay. When the Sisters of Mercy arrived in Rockhampton in 1873, they took over the running of the primary school and established a high school on the grounds. The Range is a community at University of Virginia for graduate students. The structure was designed by Thomas Jefferson as part of the original design.
