''The Pythons Autobiography by The Pythons'' is the official autobiography of the Monty Python team, released in 2003. It covers the whole of Python history, from their childhoods all the way through to the 30th anniversary celebrations in 1999. The book was edited by Bob McCabe from interviews held with John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. Interspersed with these are archive interviews with Graham Chapman as well as new contributions from Chapman’s partner David Sherlock, his brother John, and sister-in-law Pam. The book also features excerpts from the personal diaries of Terry Jones and Michael Palin, alongside many previously unseen photographs from the team’s personal archives. Originally released as a large format hardback, in the style of ''The Beatles Anthology (book), The Beatles Anthology'' book, it was later issued as a smaller paperback version. Graham Chapman
Graham Chapman (8 January 1941 – 4 October 1989) was a British actor, comedian and writer. He was one of the six members of the Surreal humour, surrealist comedy group Monty Python. He portrayed authority figures such as The Colonel (Monty Python), The Colonel and the lead role in two Python films, ''Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Holy Grail'' (1975) and ''Monty Python's Life of Brian, Life of Brian'' (1979). Chapman was born in Leicester and was raised in Melton Mowbray. John Marwood Cleese ( ; born 27 October 1939) is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, and Television presenter, presenter. Terrence Vance Gilliam ( ; born 22 November 1940) is an American-British filmmaker, comedian, collage film, collage animator, and actor. Eric Idle (born 29 March 1943) is an English actor, comedian, songwriter, musician, screenwriter and playwright. He was a member of the British comedy group Monty Python and the parody rock band the Rutles. Idle studied English at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and joined Cambridge University Footlights. ''A Pocketful of Python'' is a series of five books by the Monty Python team, in which each of the surviving members selects their favourite material from the group’s TV series, films, records and books. The Beatles Anthology (book)
''The Beatles Anthology'' is a book published in October 2000 as part of ''The Beatles Anthology'' film project. It includes interviews with all four band members, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, together with others involved, most notably producer George Martin, press officer Derek Taylor (who died three years before this book was published) and roadie and head of Apple Corps, Neil Aspinall, who oversaw the project.
