The Paper (2008 TV Series)
''The Paper'' is a reality television series on MTV. The show covers the lives of the Cypress Bay High School newspaper staff, focusing mostly on four senior editors. It is set in Weston, Florida. The series finale aired on May 26, 2008. The second season had been cast at a high school in Texas but midway into production the season became the TV series '' My Life as Liz''. Dave Sirulnick
Dave Sirulnick (born May 26, 1964) is an American television producer. Sirulnick grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, where he attended Teaneck High School and became involved with booking musicians such as LL Cool J, Run DMC, and Salt-N-Pepa at The Rink, a roller rink in nearby Bergenfield. He later attended Rutgers University. After graduating, he was hired as a news producer at CNN, like his father who was also a television producer. In 1987, he joined MTV, saying they "wanted someone to grow their news department. It's what I wanted my whole life: TV, music and news". Cypress Bay High School
Cypress Bay High School is a public high school located in Weston, Florida open for students in grades 9−12. Cypress Bay is part of the Broward County Public Schools district. The school offers 33 Advanced Placement ( AP) courses, the Cambridge AICE Program, honors courses, a dual enrollment option and academic and extracurricular activities including nearly 70 student clubs and organizations and more than 15 sports. Cypress Bay is also the pilot school for Broward County Public School's partnership with the FBI to provide a Cyber/STEM program, which is the second program of its kind in the nation. ''My Life as Liz'' is a mockumentary-style American comedy television series that centers on the life of Liz Lee, a misfit high-school senior living in a small town in Texas.
