The New Legend Of Shaolin
''The New Legend of Shaolin'' (; released in the United Kingdom as ''Legend of the Red Dragon'' and in the Philippines as ''Once Upon a Time in China-4'') is a 1994 Hong Kong martial arts film directed by Wong Jing and Corey Yuen. The film stars and is produced by Jet Li. The film showcases Hung Hei-kwun's exploits as a rebel against the Qing government, and it is one of two films in which Li and Miu Tse play a father-son duo, the other being ''My Father Is a Hero.'' The film was released theatrically in Hong Kong on 3 March 1994. The film also pays homage to the Japanese film '' Lone Wolf and Cub: Sword of Vengeance'', with the opening scene being a parody of said film, while also having a similar plot of a father going on a journey of revenge with his infant son. Wong Jing
Wong Yat-cheong, known professionally as Wong Jing (, born 3 May 1955), is a Hong Kong filmmaker and actor. A prolific filmmaker with strong instincts for crowd-pleasing and publicity, he played a prominent role in Hong Kong cinema during the 1990s. Biography Wong was born in Hong Kong, the son of noted film director Wong Tin-Lam. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Chinese literature which he describes as "useless" (Yang, 2003). Like many Hong Kong film figures of his time, Wong began his career in television – in his case, scriptwriting for local juggernaut TVB beginning in 1975 (Teo, 1997). Lunar New Year is the beginning of a new year based on lunar calendars or, informally, lunisolar calendars. is a Japanese manga series created by writer Kazuo Koike and artist Goseki Kojima. It was serialized in Futabasha's manga magazine '' Weekly Manga Action'' from September 1970 to April 1976, with its chapters collected in 28 ' volumes. Mick LaSalle (born May 7, 1959) is an American film critic and the author of two books on pre-Code Hollywood. Up to March 2008, he had written more than 1,550 reviews for the ''San Francisco Chronicle'' and he has been podcasting them since September 2005. Hsieh Hsin-ta (6 December 194615 May 2017), professionally known as Chu Ke-liang (), was a Taiwanese comedian, actor, television show host and singer. He was known for his "over-the-top appearance" with unusual clothing and hair styles and his coarse humor. Early life Chu was born Hsieh Hsin-ta (謝新達; Hokkien: ''Siā Sin-ta̍t'') in Zuoying, Kaohsiung in Taiwan. Chu left home in his early teenage years to pursue his dream of being in the theater.
