The Mall Group
The Mall Group () is one of Thailand’s largest retail conglomerates, known for its portfolio of shopping malls and department stores. Its brands include the Mall, Emporium (Bangkok), Emporium, EmQuartier, EmSphere, Emsphere, Siam Paragon, Gourmet Market, and others. It is a private company and a subsidiary of Lukrak Supachai Company Limited. The current chair is Supaluck Umpujh. it had 13,000 employees. The group has been a member of the International Association of Department Stores since 2009. History The Mall Group opened its first retail store on 25 June 1981 on Ratchadamri Road near Ratchaprasong region in Bangkok. At the time it had 400 employees. In 2020, the group decided to rebrand for the first time in 39 years, aiming to turn all shopping and retail entertainment complexes to "The Mall Lifestores". Bang Kapi District
Bang Kapi (, ) is one of the 50 districts (''khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. It is bounded by other Bangkok districts (from north clockwise): Bueng Kum, Saphan Sung, Prawet, Suan Luang, Huai Khwang, Wang Thonglang, and Lat Phrao. Name The name Bang Kapi consists of two parts. ''Bang'' is a common prefix for place names in Thailand and roughly means a "hamlet by the waterfront". There are multiple theories as to the origin of ''kapi''. The word ''kapi'' itself exists in Thai and means "shrimp paste", which is one possible origin. Another possibility is that it comes from ''kabi'' (กบิ/กบี่), a poetic word meaning "monkey", as the area used to be heavily forested and was home to many monkeys. The MRT Orange Line () is a rapid transit line of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area, Thailand. Lat Phrao Road
Lat Phrao Road (, , ) is one main road in Bangkok, Thailand. Despite its name the road does not run through the nearby Lat Phrao District. It begins at Phahonyothin Road, at the corners of the Lat Phrao Square, CentralPlaza Ladprao, and Union Mall in Chatuchak District, passes through Huai Khwang and Wang Thonglang Districts, and ends in Bang Kapi District. The road is serviced by two MRT Blue Line stations: Phahon Yothin and Lat Phrao. The MRT Yellow Line meanwhile runs along the road from YL01 Lat Phrao to YL08 Bang Kapi stations. The MRT Blue Line () or MRT Chaloem Ratchamongkon Line () is Bangkok's third rapid transit line, following the Sukhumvit line and Silom line of the BTS Skytrain. Brown Line (Bangkok)
The MRT Brown Line is a 22.1 km rapid transit line in Bangkok, Thailand proposed monorail mass transit line from Nonthaburi Civic Centre, Nonthaburi Province to Lam Sali intersection, Bang Kapi District. 20 stations are proposed for the line and the expected cost for the project is 48 billion baht. The line has been integrated for 7.2 km with the N2 expressway project and a feasibility study has been completed. The MRT Brown line will interchange with 7 other mass transit lines.
