''The Making of Minutes to Midnight'' is the sixth DVD by Linkin Park, released on May 14, 2007 through Warner Bros. Records and Machine Shop Records. The release documented the band while recording their third studio album, ''Minutes to Midnight''. It was included in the limited edition of the album. The Mansion (recording Studio)
The Mansion is a four-bedroom mansion owned by music producer Rick Rubin in the Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles. Originally built in 1918, the house is famous for the successful bands who have recorded music there. The house was owned by Errol Flynn in the late 1930s. Although many say that Harry Houdini lived at the mansion, no one has ever lived in the Mansion under the name "Houdini". Mike Shinoda
Michael Kenji Shinoda (; ja, 篠田 賢治, Shinoda Kenji; born February 11, 1977) is an American musician, singer, rapper, songwriter and record producer. He co-founded the rock band Linkin Park in 1996 and was the band's collaborative vocalist whilst Chester Bennington was lead vocalist, as well as rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, primary songwriter and producer. Shinoda later created a hip-hop-driven side project, Fort Minor, in 2004. He has also served as a producer for tracks and albums by Lupe Fiasco, Styles of Beyond and the X-Ecutioners. David Michael Farrell, also known by his stage name Phoenix (born February 8, 1977), is an American musician, best known as the bassist of the rock band Linkin Park. He was also a member of Tasty Snax, a pop punk band. Early life He was born in Plymouth but later moved to Mission Viejo, California at the age of five. Farrell was taught how to play guitar by his mother when he was in high school. He also played the violin in high school. Early life Bourdon was born in Calabasas, California. He received classical piano lessons at a young age. He was inspired to play the drums after attending an Aerosmith concert, where he was personally introduced to drummer Joey Kramer.
