The Life And Slimes Of Marc Summers
''The Life and Slimes of Marc Summers'' is a One-person show, one-man stage performance by American stage and screen actor Marc Summers. The performance takes place on a replica of the original ''Double Dare (franchise), Double Dare'' set, with audience members competing in stunts from the show to accentuate Summers' narration of his life's triumphs and setbacks. Alex Brightman adapted Summers' 1999 memoir as the basis for the work, which recounted his struggles with obsessive-compulsive disorder. The 2017 Mathew Klickstein documentary ''On Your Marc'' was centered around the play's development. New World Stages is a five-theater, Off-Broadway performing arts complex in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. It is between 49th and 50th Streets beneath the plaza of the Worldwide Plaza complex at Eighth Avenue. History Constructed on the site of the third Madison Square Garden, New World Stages was originally built as a Loews Cineplex Entertainment multiplex cinema at Worldwide Plaza. Shea's Performing Arts Center (originally Shea's Buffalo) is a theater for touring Broadway musicals and special events in Buffalo, New York. Originally called Shea's Buffalo, it was opened in 1926 to show silent movies. It took one year to build the entire theatre.
