''The Invisible Man'' is a film series by Universal Pictures. The series consists of ''The Invisible Man'' (1933), ''The Invisible Man Returns'' (1940), '' The Invisible Woman'' (1940), ''Invisible Agent'' (1942), ''The Invisible Man's Revenge'' (1944) and '' Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man'' (1951). The film series borrows elements from H. G. Wells's novel ''The Invisible Man'' (1897), but it focuses primarily on the idea of a serum that causes someone to go invisible and its side-effects. The Invisible Man
''The Invisible Man'' is an 1897 science fiction novel by British writer H. G. Wells. Originally serialised in '' Pearson's Weekly'' in 1897, it was published as a novel the same year. The Invisible Man to whom the title refers is Griffin, a scientist who has devoted himself to research into optics and who invents a way to change a body's refractive index to that of air so that it neither absorbs nor reflects light. He carries out this procedure on himself and renders himself invisible, but fails in his attempt to reverse it. A practitioner of random and irresponsible violence, Griffin has become an iconic character in horror fiction. While its predecessors, ''The Time Machine'' and '' The Island of Doctor Moreau'', were written using first-person narrators, Wells adopts a third-person objective point of view in ''The Invisible Man''. Hollow Man
''Hollow Man'' is a 2000 science fiction horror thriller film directed by Paul Verhoeven, written by Andrew W. Marlowe, and starring Elisabeth Shue, Kevin Bacon, Josh Brolin, Kim Dickens, Greg Grunberg, Joey Slotnick, Mary Randle, and William Devane. The film is about Sebastian Caine, a scientist who volunteers to be the first human test subject for a serum that renders the user invisible. When his fellow scientists are unable to restore him back to normal, he becomes increasingly unstable and eventually goes on a killing spree. ''Son of Frankenstein'' is a 1939 American horror film directed by Rowland V. Lee and starring Basil Rathbone, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. The film is the third in Universal Pictures' ''Frankenstein'' series and is the follow-up to the 1935 film ''Bride of Frankenstein''. ''Son of Frankenstein'' stars Rathbone as Baron Wolf von Frankenstein who, with his wife Elsa (Josephine Hutchinson) and son Peter ( Donnie Dunagan), returns to his late father's estate. James Whale (22 July 1889 – 29 May 1957) was an English film director, theatre director and actor, who spent the greater part of his career in Cinema of the United States, Hollywood. Robert Florey (September 14, 1900 – May 16, 1979) was a French-American director, screenwriter, film journalist and actor. John Sutton (born Eugene Osmond Stephen Congdon; 22 October 1908 – 10 July 1963) was a British actor with a prolific career in Hollywood of more than 30 years. Personal life Sutton was born on 22 October 1908 in Rawalpindi, India (now Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan). He was the son of Lt.
