''The Haves and the Have Nots'' is an American stage play which premiered in 2011. Part comedy and part drama, it was created, produced, written, and directed by Tyler Perry. The original stage production starring Palmer Williams Jr. as Floyd, the butler and chef to a wealthy family, and Patrice Lovely as their housekeeper, Hattie, toured 46 cities. The live performance released on DVD on July 9, 2013 was recorded live in Atlanta at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in June 2012. The DVD, which includes interviews with cast members, was released alongside '' Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor''. Tyler Perry
Tyler Perry (born Emmitt Perry Jr., September 13, 1969) is an American actor, filmmaker, and playwright. He is the creator and performer of Madea, Mabel "Madea" Simmons, a tough elderly woman, and also portrays her brother Joe Simmons and her nephew Brian Simmons. Perry's films vary in style from orthodox filmmaking techniques to filmed productions of live stage plays, many of which have been subsequently adapted into feature films. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is a performing arts venue located in the Cumberland/Galleria edge city, in northwest Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The $145 million facility celebrated its grand opening September 15, 2007, with a concert by Michael Feinstein and Linda Eder. Patrice Lovely (born January 4, 1968) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Hattie Mae Love in the sitcom '' Love Thy Neighbor'' and the comedy films '' Boo! A Madea Halloween'', '' Boo 2! A Madea Halloween'', and '' A Madea Family Funeral'', the latter of which was released on March 1, 2019. Career Lovely started acting in 1997.
