''The Fox of Paris'' (German: ''Der Fuchs von Paris'') is a 1957 war thriller film directed by Paul May and starring Martin Held, Marianne Koch and Hardy Krüger.Bock & Bergfelder p.306 It was a co-production between France and West Germany. It was shot at the Tempelhof Studios in Berlin and on location in Paris. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Hans Kuhnert and Wilhelm Vorwerg. Plot Cast * Martin Held as Gen. Paul May
Paul May (8 May 1909 – 25 February 1976) was a German film director and film editor, editor. He directed 40 films between 1935 and 1972. Biography He was the son of Peter Ostermayr, a film producer with Universum Film AG, and his wife Olga, ''née'' Wernhard. After secondary school in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, Feldkirch, he entered to film industry and trained in film laboratory work. He became a Film editing, film editor in 1930 and assistant director in 1935. His first film as director was ''Edelweißkönig'', in 1938. After the Second World War, he adopted the pseudonym Paul May. His greatest successes were ''08/15 (1954 film), 08/15'' (1954), ''The Forests Sing Forever'' (1959), ''Via Mala (1961 film), Via Mala'' (1961) from the book by John Knittel, and ''Scotland Yard Hunts Dr. Mabuse'' (1963) with Peter van Eyck. Jean-Paul Roussillon (5 March 1931 – 31 July 2009) was a French actor. He appeared in more than 80 films and television shows between 1954 and 2008. Michel Auclair (born Vladimir Vujović, sr-cyr, Владимир Вујовић; 14 September 1922 – 7 January 1988) was an actor of Serbian and French ancestry, known best for his roles in French cinema.
