The Essential Book Of K9
''The Essential Book of K9'' is a science fiction anthology book by Paul M. Tams and Bob Baker based on the television series '' Doctor Who'' and focuses on the character K9. The book was released in 2015 and published by Meteoric Books. Contents The book contains interviews and articles about K9's history and includes a comic strip and short fiction. Fiction Development The book was originally announced in December, 2011 as ''The Complete Book of K9'' and was planned to be released the following year with pre-orders beginning in February. The book would've covered the history of K9, interviews with people involved with the character, and never-before-seen photos, designs a behind-the-scenes details. Bob Baker (scriptwriter)
Robert John Baker (26 July 1939 – 3 November 2021) was a British television and film writer. He was best known for working on the original run of '' Doctor Who'', and for being a co-writer of the Wallace and Gromit films '' The Wrong Trousers'', '' A Close Shave'', '' Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit'' and ''A Matter of Loaf and Death'' (in which the character Baker Bob is named after him). Career Baker and Dave Martin began writing for Harlech Television (HTV), the local ITV franchise. One of their earliest works was Thick As Thieves starring Leonard Rossiter. Baker wrote for '' Doctor Who'' between 1971 and 1979. Media Wales Ltd. is a publishing company based in Cardiff, Wales. As of 2009 it was owned by Reach plc (formerly known as the Trinity Mirror Group). ''K9'' is a science-fiction adventure series focusing on the adventures of the robot dog K9 from the television show '' Doctor Who'', achieved by mixing computer animation and live action.
