Luigi Comencini
Luigi Comencini (; 8 June 1916 – 6 April 2007) was an Italian film director. Together with Dino Risi, Ettore Scola, and Mario Monicelli, he was considered among the masters of the "commedia all'italiana" genre. His daughters Cristina Comencini, Cristina and Francesca Comencini, Francesca are both film directors. Biography His first successful film was ''The Emperor of Capri, L'imperatore di Capri'', featuring Totò. Comencini's 1953 ''Bread, Love and Dreams, Pane, amore e fantasia'', with Vittorio De Sica and Gina Lollobrigida, is considered a primary example of ''neorealismo rosa'' (pink neorealism). It was followed by ''Bread, Love and Jealousy, Pane, amore e gelosia''. Laura Gore
Laura Gore (born Laura Emilia Regli; 30 September 1918 – 27 March 1957) was an Italian actress and voice actress. She appeared in 39 films between 1945 and 1955. While studying accounting, in 1940 she won the eighth edition of the amateur song contest "L'ora del dilettante" organized by EIAR at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. After that win, Gore immediately started a successful career first as a music hall artist, later as an actress of cinema, radio and theatre. For two consecutive seasons (1949–50 and 1950–51) she was a member of the stage company of Eduardo De Filippo. She was also active as a dubber in the dubbing company ORI. Gore died of a heart attack at 38 years old. She was married to army officer Agostino Golzi. Enrico Musy, better known as Enrico Glori (3 August 1901 – 22 April 1966) was an Italian actor. Biography Born in Naples to a wealthy family of French origin, Glori became an actor in his thirties. He spent most of his time in France where he eventually made his film debut in the 1934 film ''Street Without a Name'' directed by Pierre Chenal. He starred in many other French films for the next three years until he was called back to Italy in 1937 after finishing his work on several films which includes '' The Former Mattia Pascal''. Glori was often known for his portrayal of villainous, sadistic and treacherous characters in most of his movies through the late 1930s and early 1940s. Galeazzo Benti (6 August 1923 – 21 April 1993) was an Italian actor. He appeared in more than 70 films between 1942 and 1991. Life and career Born Galeazzo Bentivoglio in Florence, Italy, a descendant of the Bentivoglio family, which ruled Bologna from 1401 until 1506 and from 1511 until 1512, he started his career as a cartoonist and a set designer. He was the step brother of colleague Fiammetta Baralla. After his first roles in 1942, he had his breakout in 1943, in Sergio Tofano's ''Gian Burrasca'', in which he played a frivolous and falsely modest snob, a role he specialized during his career. After successfully alternating between cinema and revue, in the late 1950s he moved to Venezuela, where he worked in a television channel dedicated to Italian immigrants. He came back to Italy in the early 1980s, and here he reprised his acting career equally splitting between films and TV-series until his death from a heart attack in 1993. Nerino "Nerio" Bernardi (23 July 1899 – 12 January 1971) was an Italian stage and film actor. He appeared in nearly 200 films between 1918 and 1970. Life and career Born in Bologna, Bernardi started his acting career in 1918 with a local film company, Felsina Film. Specialized in young lover roles, he soon became very popular and in high demand by other companies, being even signed by Fox Film for two Violet Mersereau vehicles, ''Nero'' and '' The Shepherd King''.
