That's How People Grow Up
"That's How People Grow Up" is a 2008 single by British singer Morrissey. The song, released on 4 February 2008, was used to promote his latest ''Greatest Hits'' album. The song also appears on his 2009 album '' Years of Refusal''. The song was composed by long-time Morrissey guitarist and musical director Boz Boorer - his first composition to be released as a single since "Satan Rejected My Soul" from the album ''Maladjusted'' (1997). The song made its television debut on ''Late Show with David Letterman'', and received its first radio play on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show on 17 December. Prior to release, it featured on the BBC Radio 2 A-list, receiving around 20 plays per week. On 10 February 2008, "That's How People Grow Up" entered the UK Singles Chart at number 14. Four days later it also entered the Swedish singles chart, at number 26. Kristeen Young is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Young began playing piano as a child. She has released eleven studio albums. Young has also sung with several artists including David Bowie, Morrissey, Brian Molko of Placebo and The Damned. Michael Farrell (musician)
Michael Kevin Farrell is an American keyboardist, musical director, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work both recording and touring with Alanis Morissette, Morrissey and Macy Gray. Early life Farrell was born and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended John Carroll University where he won a Fulbright Fellowship to study at the University of Waikato New Zealand in 1991. He later received a master's degree from Syracuse University in 1993. After college, he moved to Los Angeles in 1993 to pursue music. Macy Gray Farrell was the musical director/keyboardist for Grammy winning artist Macy Gray. Farrell and Gray opened for David Bowie for 6 weeks at the end of 2003. Matt Walker (drummer)
Matt Walker is an American session musician, known for drumming with Filter, The Smashing Pumpkins and Morrissey, as well as being the regular fill-in to Butch Vig from Garbage on three of their tours (2002, 2016, 2019). Biography Walker began his career in Chicago in the mid-1980s, when he began playing drums for local Chicago bands and then joined Filter in 1994. Matt toured with Filter in support of the album, '' Short Bus'' until 1996. Filter toured with The Smashing Pumpkins in Europe and when Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin was fired after a heroin overdose, Walker was hired to replace Chamberlin. Jesse Tobias (born April 1, 1972) is an American musician who has been the lead guitarist and co-writer for Morrissey since 2004. Tobias first gained fame during a brief tenure with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1993, although he was replaced by Dave Navarro within a month after joining the band. Before he joined the Chili Peppers, he briefly played with the band Mother Tongue. In 1995, Tobias joined the touring band for Alanis Morissette, and from 1999 to 2005 he was a member of the musical duo Splendid alongside his then-wife Angie Hart.
