Terry Louise Fisher (February 21, 1946 – June 10, 2025) was an American television screenwriter and producer. During her career, she won three Primetime Emmy Awards from seven nominations. Early career Fisher was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended UCLA School of Law in 1968. She later worked for the Los Angeles District Attorney's office and moved from that into entertainment law. While a Los Angeles lawyer, Fisher wrote two novels, both published by the Warner Publishing Company. The first, entitled ''A Class Act'', was published in 1976. The second, entitled ''Good Behavior'', was published in 1979. Both are no longer in print. After ten years in the law field, Fisher decided to pursue her true passion of writing full-time and quit practicing law. Television career Early years She began her television career as a writer and producer for the CBS police procedural '' Cagney & Lacey'' in 1982. Terry Fisher is an American soccer coach and executive. He served as coach of the Los Angeles Aztecs and the San Jose Earthquakes of the North American Soccer League in the 1970s. He was general manager and part-owner of several lower-division teams in the 1980s and 1990s, and has worked as a youth soccer executive since 2009. Early life Fisher was born on September 17, 1949, in Yellow House, Pennsylvania, and grew up in the Philadelphia area. Fisher graduated high school in 1967. That summer, Fisher toured Europe on a team of American soccer players coached by Hubert Vogelsinger, visiting nine countries over three weeks, which he says got him "hooked" on soccer. He would travel to Europe again in 1968 as an assistant for the American International Sports Exchange, a program which sponsored young athletes on European tours.
