Terry Dolan (footballer)
Terence Peter Dolan (born 11 June 1950) is an English former professional footballer and manager. Playing career Born in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, Dolan excelled at both football and rugby union during his schooldays and joined Bradford City as an associate schoolboy in 1966 before signing as an amateur a year later. He signed for Bradford Park Avenue as an amateur at the age of 18 in December 1968. He signed professional terms for the club a year later. He made 49 appearances at Park Avenue until they dropped out of the Football League in 1970. He was transferred to Huddersfield Town for £7,000 in October 1970. He played in all four divisions for Huddersfield. When they missed out on promotion to Division Three in 1975–76 he moved to Bradford City for £10,000 in August 1976. Terence Dolan (8 April 1943 – 20 April 2019) was an Irish lexicographer and radio personality. He was professor of Old and Middle English in the School of English and Drama at University College Dublin. He acted as the School's Research Co-ordinator, and was the director of the ''Hiberno-English Archive'' website. He appeared weekly on Seán Moncrieff's radio show (Mondays) on Newstalk 106. Podcasts of his appearances are available from Newstalk's website. Life Dolan was born in London of Irish parents, both of whom hailed from County Cavan. He was formerly a Hastings Senior Scholar of The Queen's College, Oxford.
