Terence Donovan, Baron Donovan
Terence Norbert Donovan, Baron Donovan (13 June 1898 – 12 December 1971) was a British Labour Party politician and later a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary. Biography Born in West Ham, London, Donovan was educated at Brockley Grammar School, before serving in the Bedfordshire Regiment and the Royal Air Force during World War I. After demobilisation, he joined the Civil Service. He was called to the Bar by the Middle Temple in 1924, although he did not begin practising at the bar until 1932. Donovan was elected as Member of Parliament for Leicester East in the 1945 general election, and took silk the same year. When that constituency was abolished for the 1950 general election, he was re-elected for the new Leicester North East constituency. Terence Donovan (born 28 October 1942), also billed as Terence J. Donovan and Terry Donovan, is a British-Australian actor of stage, television and film, and the father of actor and singer Jason Donovan (from his marriage to actress and journalist Sue McIntosh). Donovan worked in his native England, but is best known to audiences for his roles in Australian soap opera including ''Neighbours'' as patriarch Doug Willis and in ''Home and Away'' as Al Simpson''. Terence Daniel Donovan (14 September 1936 – 22 November 1996) was an English photographer and film director, noted for his fashion photography of the 1960s. A book of his fashion work, ''Terence Donovan Fashion'', was published 2012. He also directed many TV commercials and oversaw the music video to Robert Palmer (singer), Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love (song), Addicted to Love" and "Simply Irresistible (song), Simply Irresistible". ''The Guardian'' labelled “Addicted to Love“ as being "fashion's favourite video" since it was released. Terry Donovan (born 27 February 1958) is a former footballer who played as a striker. Born and raised, and spending his entire playing career (apart from 15 appearances for the Portland Timbers based in Oregon), in England, he made two appearances for the Republic of Ireland national team at international level, qualifying through his Irish-born father. Career Donovan played for Grimsby Town, Aston Villa, Oxford United (loan), Portland Timbers, Burnley and Rotherham United during his club career, and also played for Ireland's national team on two occasions. He joined Villa for £72,000 in 1979 after establishing himself as a prolific scorer during three seasons with his hometown club Grimsby Town, helping them gain promotion from the Fourth Division. Rockstar Games, Inc. is an American video game publisher based in New York City. The company was established in December 1998 as a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, using the assets Take-Two had previously acquired from BMG Interactive. Founding members of the company were Terry Donovan, Gary Foreman, Dan Houser, Dan and Sam Houser, and Jamie King, who worked for Take-Two at the time, and of which the Houser brothers were previously executives at BMG Interactive.
