Tequila (Terrorvision Song)
"Tequila" is a song by English rock band Terrorvision, written by the band and Chuck Rio and produced by Scottish musician Edwyn Collins. The song originally appeared on the band's fourth studio album, ''Shaving Peaches'' (1998), and was released as the album's second single on 18 January 1999. For the single release, English music producer Mint Royale remixed the track. These remixes were heavily championed by BBC Radio 1 DJ Zoe Ball, allowing the song to reach number two on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Terrorvision's highest-charting song in the UK. In 1999, the song won the Kerrang! Award for Best Single. Release For its release as a single, Mint Royale remixed "Tequila", creating three mixes known as the "Mint Royale shot", "Mint Royale chaser", and "Mint Royale slammer" versions. Shaving Peaches
''Shaving Peaches'' is the fourth album by Terrorvision. Released in 1998 as the follow-up to ''Regular Urban Survivors'', it found the band heading in a more chart-orientated pop direction with co-production from Edwyn Collins. Here, the band push their sound further than before, veering away from metal towards a soft rock sound that uses actual electronic beats. Tracks such as "Day After Day" and "When I Die" retain the melancholy that featured on earlier albums, whilst the rest of the album follows the template of the positive and upbeat single, "Tequila". A boy band is a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation. The Offspring
The Offspring is an American Rock music, rock band formed in Garden Grove, California, in 1984. Five (occasionally stylised as 5ive) are an English boy band formed in 1997 consisting of members Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson (singer), Scott Robinson, Abz Love and Jason "J" Brown. Five released several hit singles around the Turn of the century, turn of the 21st century, particularly in their native United Kingdom. The group has sold over 20 million records worldwide. Tequila
Tequila (; ) is a liquor, distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant, primarily in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, Jalisco, Tequila northwest of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Guadalajara, and in the Jaliscan Highlands (''Los Altos (Jalisco), Los Altos de Jalisco'') of the central western Mexican state of Jalisco. James Masterton
James Masterton (born 2 September 1973) is a British music critic and columnist, his work focusing on the UK Singles Chart having been an online fixture on various sites since the 1990s. Masterton is also a producer for talkSPORT, and has worked on air as a presenter at the Bradford independent local radio station the Pulse. Music writing Masterton began posting his weekly comments about the latest singles chart on Usenet in 1992, while a student at Lancaster University, whence he graduated in 1994. In 1995 he became an important element of BT's Dotmusic website, an online hub for the UK music scene and one of the few sites that posted the entire UK top 75 every week. When Dotmusic was purchased from BT by Yahoo! on 28 October 2003, Masterton's commentary moved to Yahoo! Launch with it, remaining with the site as it transformed into Yahoo!
