Tennis
Tennis is a List of racket sports, racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent (singles (tennis), singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles (tennis), doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket strung with a cord to strike a hollow rubber tennis ball, ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's tennis court, court. The object is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. Ross Hutchins
Ross Dan Hutchins (born 22 February 1985) is a retired British professional tennis player, known best as a doubles player, who achieved a highest doubles ranking of 26. He competed for England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi where he won silver partnering Ken Skupski in the Men's Doubles event. Having turned professional in 2002, he enjoyed success on the Challenger circuit and broke through to the ATP Tour in late 2007. He reached thirteen ATP Tour doubles finals in his career winning five of them, Beijing, Montpellier, St Petersburg, Delray Beach, and Eastbourne. In 2011 he had his best doubles Grand slam season reaching the quarter-finals of Wimbledon and then two months later equalling it at the US Open. Hutchins was one of Britain's highest ranked doubles players, alongside Jamie Murray, Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski. Sarah Borwell
Sarah Leah Borwell (born 20 August 1979) is an English former professional tennis player who enjoyed her greatest success in doubles. She was the British number one in doubles. Her career-high doubles ranking is 65, set on 9 August 2010, and her career-high singles ranking is 199, which she reached on 10 July 2006. Early life Borwell was born in Middlesbrough. Colin Fleming
Colin Fleming (born 13 August 1984) is a British retired professional tennis player who specialised in doubles. As part of the Davis Cup team, he won eight successive doubles matches to help Great Britain into the World Group. He also won his doubles match in the World Group quarter final against Italy. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, he won the mixed doubles gold medal with Jocelyn Rae for Scotland. He has reached nineteen ATP Tour doubles finals in his career, winning eight of them: two in 2009, 2012 and 2013 and one in 2011 and 2015. Jocelyn Rae (born 20 February 1991) is a British former tennis player. Rae has a career-high doubles ranking of 67 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), achieved on 22 February 2016. In her career, she won one singles title and 23 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Together with Colin Fleming, she won the gold medal in the mixed doubles at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi for Scotland (qualifying through her Stirlingshire-born father). Rushmi Chakravarthi
Rushmi Chakravarthi (; born 9 October 1977) is an Indian former professional tennis player. She won a record 52 ITF titles, the highest number set by an Indian female player. She turned professional, after playing in the first round of the WTA Tour tournament Sunfeast Open, held at Kolkata in September 2005. Her last match on the ITF Circuit took place in June 2017 in Aurangabad. Tennis career 2005–2010 She was predominantly an ITF Circuit player. Jessica Moore (born 16 August 1990) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. Moore won two doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as four singles and 31 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. On 27 October 2008, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 132. Leander Paes
Leander Adrian Paes ( ; born 17 June 1973) is an Indian former professional tennis player and the first Asian man to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. He is regarded as one of the greatest doubles tennis players of all-time and holds the record for the most doubles wins in the Davis Cup. Paes won eight men's doubles and ten mixed doubles Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam titles. Mahesh Bhupathi
Mahesh Shrinivas Bhupathi (born 7 June 1974) is an Indian former doubles world No. 1 tennis player. In 1997, he became the first Indian to win a major tournament (with Rika Hiraki). With his win at the 2006 Australian Open mixed doubles, he joined the elite group of eight tennis players who have achieved a career Grand Slam in mixed doubles. Ken Skupski
Ken Skupski Jr. (born 9 April 1983) is a British former professional tennis player who specialised in doubles. He reached his career-high ATP doubles ranking of world No. 44 in July 2010, and won seven titles on the ATP Tour, most notably the 2021 Mexican Open alongside younger brother Neal Skupski, with whom he regularly competed from 2013.
