''Tenali Rama'' is an Indian Hindi-language historical comedy drama based on the life of the legendary Telugu poet Tenali Ramakrishna, one of the Ashtadiggajas at the court of Vijayanagara emperor Krishnadevaraya (C.E. 1509–1529), who is often cited as the greatest Vijayanagara emperor. The series premiered on Sony SAB on 11 July 2017 and concluded on 13 November 2020. The second season premiered on 16 December 2024. Srirangapatna or Srirangapattana is a town and headquarters of one of the seven Taluks of Mandya district, in the Indian State of Karnataka. Tirumala Devi (also known as Tirumalamba) (died 1553) was the senior wife and chief empress (''patta mahishi'') of Emperor Krishnadevaraya, who is considered to be the greatest ruler of the Vijayanagara Empire.
