Ten Tigers From Kwangtung
''Ten Tigers from Kwangtung'' () is a 1980 Hong Kong martial arts film directed by Chang Cheh and produced by Mona Fong. It is one of Chang Cheh's tales of Shaolin's historic rivalries with the Qing dynasty and the Canton Tigers. Along with the '' Brave Archer'' series, ''Ten Tigers'' had an all-star cast of Shaw martial artists. Plot The movie involves two stories concerning the original Ten Tigers and their future disciples. The film opens with Tung Chi (Wang Li) and his nephew, Liang Seo Hu, pursuing the disciples to take revenge for General Liang, who was the father of Liang Seo Hu, and who was also Tung Chi's martial arts brother. After killing one of the disciples, Wang Chow Ming (Lung Tung Sheng) and Lin Fu Sheng (Chin Siu-Ho) tells the story of the original Ten Tigers. Chang Cheh
Chang Cheh (; 10 February 1923 – 22 June 2002) was a Chinese people, Chinese filmmaker, screenwriter, lyricist and producer active in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Chang Cheh directed more than 90 films in Greater China, the majority of them with the Shaw Brothers Studio in Hong Kong. Most of his films are action films, especially ''wuxia'' and ''kung fu'' films filled with violence. In the early 1970s he frequently cast actors David Chiang and Ti Lung in his films. In the late 1970s he mainly worked with a group of actors known as the Venom Mob. Chang Cheh is also known for his long-time collaboration with writer Ni Kuang. Lu Feng (actor)
Lu Feng (born April 3, 1956) is a Taiwanese-born Hong Kong-based martial artist actor, action choreographer, and director. Lu gained international prominence in 1978 for starring in the Shaw Brothers film ''Five Deadly Venoms,'' earning him and the rest of the cast the collective moniker of Venom Mob. He was part of Chang Cheh's ensemble of fourth generation actors along with Chiang Sheng, Philip Kwok, Lo Mang, and Sun Chien. Early life Lu was born Chu Qi Xue on April 3, 1956, in Taipei, Taiwan. His ancestral roots can be traced back to Anhui Province in Mainland China. The youngest of four sons, Lu grew up idolizing martial arts actor Chen Kuan-tai. Wang Lung-wei
Wang Lung-wei (born 1949) is a Hong Kong martial artist, actor, director, producer, and action choreographer, who has starred in over 80 kung fu films, mainly for Shaw Brothers Studios. Wang's first Shaw Brothers film role was as Yu Pi in the 1974 Chang Cheh-directed film '' Shaolin Martial Arts''. This became a pattern, in that he was cast as the villain in the majority of his movies, with ''Martial Club'' being a famous exception. In 1985, Wang moved behind the camera, choreographing fight scenes, writing, and directing many movies such as '' Hong Kong Godfather''. He retired from the industry some time before 2009. Lo Mang is a Hong Kong martial artist and actor who was born in Hong Kong on 23 July 1952. Primarily known for starring in ''Shaw Brothers'' kung fu movies during the latter part of the 1970s and into the 1980s.
