The "5" Royales
The "5" Royales was an American rhythm and blues (R&B) vocal group from Winston-Salem, North Carolina that combined gospel music, gospel, jump blues and doo-wop, marking an early and influential step in the evolution of rock and roll. Most of their big R&B hits were recorded in 1952 and 1953 and written by the guitarist Lowman "Pete" Pauling. Cover versions of the band's songs hit the Top 40, including "Dedicated to the One I Love" (the Shirelles and the Mamas & the Papas), "Tell the Truth" (Ray Charles and Ike & Tina Turner), and "Think (The "5" Royales song), Think" (James Brown (musician), James Brown & The Famous Flames). "Tell the Truth" is a song by the English–American band Derek and the Dominos, released in 1970 as the eighth track on their album ''Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs''. The song was composed primarily by keyboardist Bobby Whitlock, with guitarist Eric Clapton adding the last verse. The band recorded the track at Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida in August 1970, with Tom Dowd as their producer. An earlier version of "Tell the Truth" was recorded in London during the sessions for George Harrison's 1970 triple album ''All Things Must Pass''. The session marked the first recordings by Derek and the Dominos. Produced by Phil Spector, this original, faster version of the song featured guitar contributions from Harrison and Dave Mason. It was issued as Derek and the Dominos' debut single, in September 1970, although the band had the release withdrawn. ''The Roar of Love'' is a 1980 concept album and fourth studio album by Christian band 2nd Chapter of Acts, that recounts the story of ''The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'', the first published book in ''The Chronicles of Narnia'', a series by C. S. Lewis. It was recorded in 1976, prior to their third studio album '' Mansion Builder'', but its release was delayed by contractual and copyright issues. According to band member Matthew Ward, all the vocals were cut in a bedroom of the house the trio lived in at the time. They converted their garage into a mixing room, knocked a hole in the bedroom wall and ran a microphone cord into it. The songs have a heavy use of synthesizers. (, ''Havary Praŭdu'') is a campaign in Belarus, which was started on 25 February 2010 by educational and research institution "Movement Forward" and is supported by some social public figures. Belarusian poet Uladzimir Niaklajeu is the founder and former leader of the campaign. For a long time, the objective of the campaign was to collect and distribute true information about the situation in the society and state and only 6 month after Niaklajeu declared about the true objective of the campaign – victory in the coming presidential elections.
