Team Speedway Junior World Championship
The Team Speedway Under-21 World Championship is a motorcycle speedway, speedway competition to determine the World Championship for national Under-21 teams (the sport's equivalent of the Under-21 World Cup in football). As of 2022, the event has been known as the Speedway of Nations 2, the Under-21 division of the Speedway of Nations. The first edition of the competition was in 2005 prior to its incorporation with the Speedway of Nations. Motorcycle Speedway
Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Competitors use this surface to slide their machines sideways, powersliding or broadsiding into the bends. On the straight sections of the track, the motorcycles reach speeds of up to . Morten Risager (born 30 September 1987 in Denmark) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. He earned one cap for the Denmark national speedway team. Career Risager earned his speedway licence in 2003. He first appeared in the British leagues during the 2004 season, riding for Coventry Bees. He first rode for Ipswich Witches in 2009 and 2011, which included being part of the Ipswich team that won the Premier League Four-Team Championship, held on 23 October 2011, at Beaumont Park Stadium. He also spent two seasons with Swindon Robins. He announced his retirement in January 2018. Sebastian Carl Aldén (born 7 November 1985 in Västerås, Sweden) is a triathlete and former motorcycle speedway rider from Sweden. Career Aldén started racing in the British leagues during the 2005 Elite League speedway season, when riding for the Swindon Robins. He sustained a broken heel in the Robins' Elite League fixture against Belle Vue in July 2008. He recovered and returned for Swindon later in the season but broke his collarbone in another crash at Coventry and was unable to ride for the Robins in the Elite League play-offs. He was part of the Berwick Bandits team that won the Premier League Four-Team Championship, held on 15 July 2012, at the East of England Arena. Paweł Hlib (born 20 February 1986 in Poland) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Hlib won the Team Speedway Junior World Championship in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and became the Individual Polish Under-21 Champion in 2007. In 2004 he was due to make his debut for Eastbourne Eagles in the British leagues but changed his mind about riding for them. However, in 2006 he joined Coventry Bees for the 2006 Elite League speedway season. In December 2008, he joined the Poland national team. Hlib stated that he would like to join the German team because he has German citizenship as well. He returned to ride in Poland during 2019, for Wilki Krosno. It was his final season in Poland. Adrian Miedziński (born 20 August 1985 in Toruń, Poland) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He earned four international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Career Miedziński started riding in Poland during 2002 when he made his debut for KS Toruń, he would go on to ride 16 consecutive seasons of the club and all in the Ekstraliga. In between he made his British league debut for Eastbourne Eagles in 2004, won the Individual Speedway Junior Polish Championship (in 2005) and won the Team Speedway Junior World Championship (in 2006). Rybnik Stadium (Polish - Stadion Miejski w Rybniku) is a motorcycle speedway and association football stadium located in the northern part of Rybnik off Gliwicka 72. The stadium is the home arena of Polish speedway team KS ROW Rybnik who compete in the Team Speedway Polish Championship. The capacity is 10,304 (all seated) and the stadium forms part of the wider complex known as the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center. Nicolai Klindt (born 29 December 1988) is a Danish motorcycle speedway rider who won the 2007 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship, 2007 Individual Under-19 European title. Career In 2006, Klindt won the Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship and followed up the success by winning the 2007 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship, 2007 European U19 title. In 2008, he signed for his first British league team Wolverhampton Wolves for the 2008 Elite League speedway season and also won his second Danish U21 title.
