Sandip Ray
Sandip Ray (born 8 September 1953) is an Indian film director and music director who mainly works in Cinema of West Bengal, Bengali cinema. He is the only child of the famous Indian director Satyajit Ray and Bijoya Ray. Life and education Sandip Ray was born in Kolkata, Calcutta. Initially schooled at the South Point School (India), South Point School and after it, the Patha Bhavan, Kolkata, he subsequently attended the University of Calcutta. Career Ray started his professional career in film at the age of 24 as assistant director on the sets of his father's film ''Shatranj Ke Khilari (film), Shatranj Ke Khilari'' (''The Chess Players'', 1977).
