Zvenyhorodka Raion
Zvenyhorodka Raion is a raion (district) of Cherkasy Oblast, in central Ukraine. Its administrative centre is the city of Zvenyhorodka. Population: On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Cherkasy Oblast was reduced to four, and the area of Zvenyhorodka Raion was significantly expanded. Four abolished raions, Katerynopil, Lysianka, Shpola, and Talne Raions, parts of two more abolished raions, Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi and Horodyshche Raions, as well as the city of Bahacheve, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to any raion, were merged into Zvenyhorodka Raion. Hromada
In Ukraine, a hromada () is the main type of municipality and the third level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, local self-government in Ukraine. The current hromadas were established by the Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine, Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. A municipality is designated ''urban hromada'' if its administration is located in a city; ''settlement hromada'' if it is located in a settlement (''selyshche''), and ''rural hromada'' if it is located in a village (Village#Ukraine, ''selo'') or a ''selyshche''. Hromadas are grouped to form Raions of Ukraine, raions (districts); groups of raions form Oblasts of Ukraine, oblasts (regions). Cherkasy Oblast (, ), also referred to as Cherkashchyna (, ) is an administrative divisions of Ukraine, oblast (province) in central Ukraine located along the Dnieper, Dnieper River. Talne (, ) is a city in Zvenyhorodka Raion, Cherkasy Oblast (province) of Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Talne urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. It had a population of 12,649 (2024); During the nineteenth century Talne was a centre of Jewish learning and seat of the Tolner Hasidim, a sect of Hasidic Judaism. Maidanetske
Maidanetske () is a village located within the Zvenyhorodka Raion (district) of the Cherkasy Oblast (province), about driving distance south of Kyiv. It belongs to Talne urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. It is a small farming community located primarily on a hill overlooking the Tal'ianki River. Maidanetske is home to one of the three district hospitals in the Talne Raion. A local museum was built in the 1990s that focuses on the ancient history of this place, including a panoramic reconstructed model of a large Cucuteni-Trypillian settlement located here in prehistoric times, as well as some of the artifacts uncovered from around the village. Talianky (, also spelled ''Tallianki'', ''Tal'anky'', ''Tal'ianky'' or ''Tal'ianki'') is a village in Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine, close to the city of Talne and about south of Kyiv. It is a small farming community located among large open fields that cover the plateau above the nearby Talianky River that winds its way through this area in a narrow riverine valley.
