Peter Thompson (broadcaster)
Peter Thompson (born 1952) is an Australian broadcast journalist and educator. He is a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand School of Government and an adjunct professor at Macquarie University. He is director of the Centre for Leadership, a private consultancy on communication. Thompson was the presenter of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's ''Talking Heads (Australian TV series), Talking Heads'', a weekly biographical television program about the lives of prominent Australians, which began on ABC1 in 2005 and ended in 2010 after 238 episodes. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. The site was started by television critic David Knox in 2007 after listeners of his radio programs asked him for information they had missed. The Brisbane Powerhouse is a performing arts and cultural centre which is housed in a former power station in the Brisbane suburb of New Farm in Queensland, Australia. The venue offers an array of live performances, visual art displays, exhibitions, festivals, and free community events.
