Secret (Korean Band)
Secret () was a South Korean girl group formed by TS Entertainment in 2009. The group originally debuted with four members: Jun Hyo-seong, Jung Ha-na, Song Ji-eun and Han Sun-hwa. They released their debut single "I Want You Back" October 2009. Their debut was not a commercial success and it was not until the following year that the group saw a rise in popularity. In 2010, Secret released two singles "Magic" and "Madonna", which reached No. 2 and No. 1 respectively on the Gaon Digital Chart. They received the "Newcomer Award" at the 25th Golden Disk Awards. In 2011, Secret adopted a girl-next-door image through songs like "Shy Boy" and "Starlight Moonlight". Secret won two awards at the 1st Gaon Chart Awards for the months of January and June. ''Music Bank'' () is a South Korean music program which airs every Friday at 17:15 KST on KBS2. the show is also broadcast in more than a hundred countries through KBS World. Episodes are filmed at the KBS New Wing Open Hall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. The show also organizes the global live concert '' Music Bank World Tour''. History Prior to ''Music Bank'', ''Top 10 Songs'' (가요톱10) debuted in 1981 airing live at 6:30 (KST) on Fridays and aired until 1998. For the first few months of 1998, ''Bravo New Generation'' took its place, but due to low ratings, it was quickly replaced by ''Music Bank'' on June 18, 1998. The K-pop Hot 100 was a music singles chart in South Korea, launched by ''Billboard'' in conjunction with ''Billboard'' Korea () on August 25, 2011. It is the second Asian ''Billboard'' chart after the Japan Hot 100. The chart used the same multimetric methodology as the US Hot 100 and rankings were compiled based on Hanteo Chart data, streaming and download data from Naver VIBE, and domestic radio and television music playback data. Updates were published on ''Billboard'' Korea's website every Tuesday, and appeared on billboard.com the following day. The Circle Digital Chart, previously known as the Gaon Digital Chart, is the music industry standard record chart ranking the 200 most popular singles in South Korea. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms, as well as video ringback tone sales from the V Coloring app. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart.
