Take The Heir
''Take the Heir'' is a 1930 American synchronized comedy sound film directed by Lloyd Ingraham and starring Edward Everett Horton, Dorothy Devore and Edythe Chapman.Pitts p.62 While the film has no audible dialog, it was released with a synchronized musical score with sound effects and featured a theme song that was sung by an uncredited tenor. The film was produced during the transition to sound film and a separate silent version was also released. Location shooting took place around Broadway. A review in the ''Motion Picture News'' considered the film "very, very weak" and a waste of Everett Horton's talents. Plot An English aristocrat Lord Tweedham inherits property in the United States. Lloyd Ingraham
Lloyd Chauncey Ingraham (November 30, 1874 – April 4, 1956) was an American film actor and director. Biography Born in Rochelle, Illinois, Ingraham appeared in more than 280 films between 1912 and 1950, as well as directing more than 100 films between 1913 and 1930. Films for which he is known include ''Scaramouche (1923 film), Scaramouche'' (1923), ''The Padrone's Ward'' (1914) and ''Rainbow Valley (film), Rainbow Valley'' (1935). Margaret Campbell (April 24, 1883 – June 27, 1939) was an American character actress in silent films. In her later years, she was the secretary of the Baháʼí Spiritual Assembly of Los Angeles. Career Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Campbell was the leading lady of the Bramhall Players. Otis Harlan
Otis Harlan (December 29, 1865 – January 20, 1940) was an American actor and comedian. He voiced Happy, one of the Seven Dwarfs in the Disney animated film '' Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs''. This made him the earliest born actor to feature in a Disney film and one of the earliest born known American voice actors. Early years Harlan was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1865. He married Nellie Harvey and had a daughter named Marion. Harlan was the uncle of the silent film era leading man, Kenneth Harlan.
