Take A Look Around (song)
"Take a Look Around" is a song by American nu metal band Limp Bizkit. First debuting on the Mission: Impossible 2 (soundtrack), soundtrack to the 2000 film ''Mission: Impossible 2'', it is the first single and tenth track on their third album, ''Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water'', and was released on July 3, 2000. The main riff of the song is derived from the original Theme from Mission: Impossible, ''Mission: Impossible'' theme composed by Lalo Schifrin, however it deviates in its meter which is common time, except the bridge, which uses Schifrin's original Quintuple meter, time signature. In the United Kingdom, "Take a Look Around" was Limp Bizkit's first single release. The song became a European hit in mid-2000, reaching number one in Iceland and Portugal, number two in Finland and Spain, and number three in Italy and the UK. Solid Rock (The Temptations Album)
''Solid Rock'' is the fifteenth studio album by the Temptations for the Gordy (Motown) label, produced by Norman Whitfield. The LP was the first made primarily without founding members and original lead singers Eddie Kendricks and Paul Williams. Frustrated by conflicts and fights with Temptations Otis Williams and Melvin Franklin, and producer Whitfield's steadfast insistence on producing psychedelic soul for the group when they really wanted to sing ballads, Kendricks had quit the act and negotiated a solo deal with Motown's Tamla label. Paul Williams, on the other hand, had fallen ill due to complications from sickle-cell disease and six years of untreated alcoholism. Physically incapable of performing any longer, Williams followed his doctor's advice and retired from the act, although he remained on the Temptations' payroll as a choreographer until his death, August 17, 1973. Williams's final Temptations recording, "It's Summer", is the only song on ''Solid Rock'' that incl ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Yer' Album
''Yer' Album'' is the debut studio album by American rock band James Gang. The album was released in early 1969 on the Bluesway label. This is the James Gang's only album to feature their bassist Tom Kriss. He was replaced by Dale Peters for their next album. The album is the first to feature guitarist Joe Walsh, who would later achieve success as a solo artist and with Eagles. Of the eleven tracks featured, three are covers — Buffalo Springfield's " Bluebird", "Lost Woman" by the Yardbirds, and "Stop" by Jerry Ragovoy and Mort Shuman, recorded a year earlier by Howard Tate, as well as a version by Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield for the '' Super Session'' album (albeit without vocals). In the locked groove at the end of side 1 of the LP version of the album (which is normally silent on most phonograph records), the spoken phrase "Turn me over" repeats in a loop, while the locked groove at the end of side 2 repeats the phrase "Play me again". Both phrases were spoken by ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
