Taiyou No Toriko (Fanatic Crisis Album)
''Taiyou no Toriko'' (Japanese: 太陽の虜, lit. ''Prisoner of the Sun'') is the debut EP by Japanese rock band Fanatic Crisis. This album has two editions. The first edition features six tracks and was released by the independent label Noir on December 1, 1994. The second edition features three additional tracks (one new song, an instrumental interlude, and a remixed version of ''Pacifist'') and was released on April 28, 1995. Fanatic Crisis
Fanatic Crisis (Japanese: ''ファナティック・クライシス'', often stylized as FANATIC◇CRISIS, and simply called FtC by fans) was a Japanese rock band active from 1992–2005. They were called "the big four of visual kei bands" along with Malice Mizer, Shazna and La'cryma Christi during their prime. While they first got their start as a visual kei band, they distanced themselves from the movement after signing with Stoic Stone in 1999. History Formation The band was formed in 1992 in Nagoya, as part of the Nagoya kei movement, among similar bands such as Kuroyume, Rouage, and Laputa. In 1993, Shun joined on guitar. In 1994, they self-released their first demo-tape ''Karma'', with Tatsuya on drums. Tatsuya left after the release of their first independent EP '' Taiyou no Toriko'', published by the label Noir, in 1995. Gothic Rock
Gothic rock (also called goth rock or simply goth) is a style of rock music that emerged from post-punk in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s. The first post-punk bands which shifted toward dark music with gothic overtones include Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, Bauhaus, and the Cure. The genre itself was defined as a separate movement from post-punk. Gothic rock stood out due to its darker sound, with the use of primarily minor or bass chords, reverb, dark arrangements, or dramatic and melancholic melodies, having inspirations in gothic literature allied with themes such as sadness, nihilism, dark romanticism, tragedy, melancholy and morbidity. These themes are often approached poetically. The sensibilities of the genre led the lyrics to represent the evil of the century and the romantic idealization of death and the supernatural imagination. Gothic Metal
Gothic metal (or goth metal) is a fusion genre combining the aggression of heavy metal with the dark atmospheres of gothic rock. The music of gothic metal is diverse with bands known to adopt the gothic approach to different styles of heavy metal music. The genre originated during the early 1990s in the United Kingdom originally as an outgrowth of death-doom, a fusion of death metal and doom metal. Lyrics are generally dark and introspective with inspiration from gothic fiction as well as personal experiences. Pioneers of gothic metal include Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride and Anathema, all from the north of England. Tsutomu Ishizuki
Tsutomu Ishizuki (石月努, born in Ichinomiya on January 8, 1977) is a Japanese singer, musician and designer, best known as the lead singer and songwriter of rock band Fanatic Crisis from 1992 to 2005. Two years later, he started working as a designer. In 2012, he returned to music by starting a solo career and in 2019, Ishizuki and the two guitarists from Fanatic Crisis formed the sub-unit Fantastic Circus. Career From ages 3 to 13, Ishizuki learned to play violin. The first band he joined was J'axil. In 1992, he got together with Kazuya and Ryuji to form the band Fanatic Crisis, initially being the guitarist, switching to vocals at the suggestion of the members.
