Taiping Railway Station
The Taiping railway station (; Jawi alphabet, Jawi: ستيسين کريتاڤي تايڤيڠ) is a Malaysian train station located at and named after the town of Taiping, Perak, Taiping, Perak. Malaysia's first railway station was situated in Taiping and was opened in 1885 when the Taiping-Port Weld Railway Line, Malaysia's first, was opened. The current modern station is the third railway station to be built in Taiping. It was built as part of the Railway electrification in Malaysia, Ipoh-Padang Besar Electrification and Double-Tracking Project which was completed in 2014. West Coast Line (Malaysia)
The KTM West Coast railway line is a main railway line in Malaysia. It runs from close to the Malaysia–Thailand border in Perlis (where it connects with the State Railway of Thailand) to the Woodlands Train Checkpoint in Singapore. Running near parallel to the West Coast and serving the West Coast states of Peninsular Malaysia. The line is owned and used entirely by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). KTM is an Austrian motorcycle, bicycle and motorsports brand that is majority-owned by Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto and Austrian manufacturer Pierer Mobility AG. Sir Hugh Low, (10 May 182418 April 1905) was a British colonial administrator and naturalist. After a long residence in various colonial roles in Labuan, he was appointed as British administrator in the Malay Peninsula where he made the first trials of ''Hevea'' rubber in the region. He is often considered the first successful British administrator in the region, whose methods became models for subsequent British colonial operation in the entire South East Asia Region. Zoo Taiping
The Zoo Taiping (English: Taiping Zoo) is a zoological park located at Bukit Larut, Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. Established in 1961, is the only zoo in northern Malaysia. It is one of the major zoological parks in Malaysia. It covers and exhibits 1300 animals representing 180 species of fishes, birds, mammals, and reptiles. In 2003, the zoo established a night safari, opening again at nighttime hours. Animals The zoo has a collection of 1500 animals from 140 species. Taiping Lake Gardens
The Taiping Lake Gardens () is the first public garden established during the British rule in Malaysia. The garden is located near Bukit Larut, and is equidistant to the town centre and the Taiping Zoo. History The Taiping Lake Gardens was originally a mining ground before it was established as a public garden in 1880. The idea of a public garden was the brainchild of Colonel Robert Sandilands Frowd Walker. The garden was developed by Charles Reade (town planner), Charles Compton Reade (1880–1933), who was also responsible for planning the Kuala Lumpur garden town, together with Lady Swettenham. The abandoned tin mine ground was donated by Chung Keng Quee as a recreation park for public use. KTM Komuter Northern Sector
The ''KTM Komuter Northern Sector'' () is one of the five KTM Komuter services run by Malaysian rail operator Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). The service was introduced on 11 September 2015 following the completion of the Ipoh-Padang Besar Electrification and Double-Tracking Project in December 2014, which also saw the extension of ETS services to Padang Besar from Ipoh. Ipoh Railway Station
The Ipoh railway station is a Malaysian train station located on the heart of and named after the capital city of Ipoh, Perak. It serves as the main railway terminal for the state under ''Keretapi Tanah Melayu'' offering KTM ETS services, as well as handling freight trains. Although there are nine tracks, only four are electrified and three of the electrified tracks are used for the ETS service. The remaining six other tracks are used for freight trains. KTM ETS
The KTM ETS, commercially known as ETS (Electric Train Service), is an inter-city rail, inter-city higher-speed rail service in Malaysia operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). The KTM ETS is the second electric train service to be operated by the Malaysian railway company after KTM Komuter, and the second inter-city rail service after KTM Intercity.
