Seoul National University Gymnasium
Seoul National University Gymnasium is an indoor arena, indoor sporting arena located in Seoul, South Korea. Tibor Klampár
Tibor Klampár (born 30 April 1953) is a former international table tennis player from Hungary. Table tennis career From 1970 to 1982 he won several medals in singles, doubles, and team events in the World Table Tennis Championships and in the Table Tennis European Championships. He won the gold medal in a single event of the Table Tennis World Cup in 1981. Klampár was the first player to use speed glue in the late 1980s. He played Liang Geliang, a top Chinese defender at the time and beat him convincingly after applying speed glue to his racket as Liang, or any of the top Chinese players at the time, had not experienced playing against an opponent using speed glue. His five World Championship medals included two gold medals in the doubles with István Jónyer at the 1971 World Table Tennis Championships and the team event at the 1979 World Table Tennis Championships. Skylet Andrew (born 31 March 1962), often known as Sky Andrew, is an English former Olympian who won three gold medals at the 1989 Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships and was the first Black British sports agent. Biography Andrew was born in Upton Park, London, to a London Transport bus driver father, and a mother who worked in an East End pie factory. Desmond Douglas
Desmond Douglas MBE (born 20 July 1955 in Jamaica) is a British table tennis player. He lived and was brought up in the area of Handsworth, Birmingham, West Midlands. He was an attacking, left-handed, player, notable for his scissor jump smash. He was famous for his use of close to the table blocks on the backhand side, mixing pace with powerful topspin from his forehand side. Douglas was 11 times English Table Tennis champion, who peaked at equal World No. 7 and European No. 3. He represented Great Britain at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, in both the singles and the doubles, where he was partnered by Sky Andrew. Douglas played professionally in The West German Bundesliga for eight years, between 1977-1985. Kent Mikael Appelgren (born 15 October 1961 in Stockholm) is a Swedish former table tennis player.
