Taavi Rõivas's Second Cabinet
Taavi Rõivas's second cabinet was the cabinet of Estonia, in office from 9 April 2015 to 23 November 2016. It was a Triple Alliance coalition cabinet of liberal centre-right Estonian Reform Party, Social Democratic Party and conservative Pro Patria and Res Publica Union. History On 7 November 2016, the Social Democratic Party and Pro Patria and Res Publica Union announced that they were asking Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas to resign and were planning on negotiating a new majority government. The announcement came soon after the opposition had submitted a motion to express lack of confidence in Rõivas's government. SDE and IRL proceeded to support the motion, leaving the Reform the only party to support Rõivas. Rõivas commented the situation by declining to resign and arguing that a democratically elected government should be only removed by a democratic vote. Jüri () is a small borough () in Harju County, northern Estonia. It is located southeast of the capital Tallinn, by the Tallinn–Tartu road (E263), directly after the intersection with Tallinn Ring Road (nr. 11). Jüri is the administrative centre of Rae Parish. Jürgen Ligi
Jürgen Ligi (born 16 July 1959) is an Estonian politician, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a member and the vice-chairman of the liberal Reform Party. He was Minister of Education and Research in Taavi Rõivas' cabinet from 9 April 2015 to 12 September 2016. Previously, Ligi has served as the Minister of Defence from 2005 to 2007 and as the Minister of Finance from 2009 to 2014. Marina Kaljurand
Marina Kaljurand (née Rajevskaja; born 6 September 1962) is an Estonian politician and Member of the European Parliament. Kaljurand served as Minister of Foreign Affairs in Taavi Rõivas' second cabinet as an independent. Earlier, she served as the Ambassador of Estonia to the United States, Russia, Mexico, Canada, Kazakhstan, and Israel. Keit Pentus-Rosimannus
Keit Pentus-Rosimannus (born 3 March 1976) is an Estonian politician who served as Minister of Finance in the government of Prime Minister Kaja Kallas between 26 January 2021 and 19 October 2022. She is also the vice-chairwoman of the biggest parliament party Reform Party and former chairwoman of its parliamentary faction. Pentus-Rosimannus previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2014 to 2015 and as Minister of the Environment from 2011 to 2014. Sven Sester (born 14 July 1969) is an Estonian politician and former Minister of Finance. Early life Sester was born on 14 July 1969 in Tallinn, Estonia. After graduating from high school in 1987, he studied Economics and Information Technology at the Tallinn University of Technology. Political career In 1999, Sester joined Pro Patria and Res Publica Union. From 2002 to 2003, he was deputy chairman of the financial committee in Tallinn city council. From 2003 to 2007, as a member of Riigikogu he was deputy chairman of the economic affairs committee.
