Clapping
A clap is the percussive sound made by striking together two flat surfaces, as in the body parts of humans or animals. Humans clap with the palms of their hands, often quickly and repeatedly to express appreciation or approval (see applause), but also in rhythm as a form of body percussion to match the sounds in music, dance, chants, hand games, and clapping games. Talia Pnina Billig (born May 12, 1988), known professionally as Taali, is a Grammy nominated American singer, songwriter, and record producer. She cofounded Rainbow Blonde Records alongside José James and Brian Bender. Early life and education Billig was born in New York City to a musical Jewish family. She first played piano at her grandmother's apartment in Washington Heights, Manhattan at five years old. She moved with her family to Hastings-on-Hudson, New York in 1993., and attended Hastings High School. After high school she attended college at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music where she studied with Becca Stevens and Sasha Dobson. ''De Taali'' () is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Eeshwar Nivas and produced by Ravi Walia. Shreegauri (Gauri) Sawant is a transgender activist from Mumbai, India. She is the director of Sakhi Char Chowghi that helps transgender people and people with HIV/AIDS. She was featured in an ad by Vicks. She was made the goodwill ambassador of Election Commission in Maharashtra. Early life Sawant was born and raised in Pune. Her mother died when she was seven years old and she was raised by her grandmother. Her father is a police officer.
