Telugu Desam Party
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP; ) is an Indian regional political party primarily active in the Federated state, states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by Telugu cinema, Telugu matinée idol N. T. Rama Rao (NTR) on 29 March 1982 and has focused on supporting Telugu people. The party has won a five-time majority in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. It is currently the ruling party in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. From 1 September 1995, the TDP was led by N. T. Rama Rao's son-in-law, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu as the national president of the party. The headquarters of the party is called N. T. R. Bhavan, which is located at Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh. Maha Kutami (2009)
The Maha Kutami () was an alliance formed ahead of the 2009 United Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh 2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, Legislative Assembly and 2009 Indian general election in Andhra Pradesh, general elections. It was formed on 21 January 2009 by four political parties — the Telugu Desam Party, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Communist Party of India. It was formed with the sole aim of dethroning the then-Indian National Congress government in the state, which was led by then-chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Praja Kutami
The Praja Kutami () or Maha Kutami () was an electoral alliance between the Indian National Congress, Telugu Desam Party, Communist Party of India, and the Telangana Jana Samithi in the run-up to the 2018 Telangana Legislative Assembly election. It was formed on 11 September 2018 with the sole purpose of defeating the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the polls that year. The party was seen as a major contender during the election campaign, however, the TRS managed to win a landslide victory and soundly defeated the alliance in the elections. On 23 January 2019, the alliance was called off when the Congress announced that it would contest all of the seats, both Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha, in the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh. Kutami
The Kutami (; ) is a political alliance in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, officially established in 2024 as part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The coalition comprises the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Janasena Party (JSP), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Although the coalition was formally named "Kūṭami" in 2024, the three parties had previously collaborated during the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, where the TDP and BJP contested together while the JSP did not participate but extended support. Nara Lokesh (born 23 January 1983) is an Indian politician currently serving as the Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Real Time Governance and Human Resources Development in the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He is also the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He is the son of N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and President of the TDP. The United Front was a coalition government of 13 political parties formed in India after the 1996 general elections. It formed two governments in India between 1996 and 1998. N.
