FIBA Under-17 World Championship
The FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup (formerly FIBA Under-17 World Championship) is the under-17 men's world basketball championship organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). The inaugural tournament was in July 2010, and is held biennially. Composition According to the updated FIBA Internal Regulations, the FIBA Under-17 World Cup shall be held every two years (2022, 2024, 2026, etc.). The FIBA U16 AfroBasket, previously known as the FIBA U16 African Championship, is a biennial international youth basketball competition consisting of under-16 men's national teams organised by FIBA Africa. 2009 FIBA Africa Under-16 Championship
The 2009 FIBA Africa Under-16 Championship for Men (alternatively the Afrobasket U16) was the 1st U-16 FIBA Africa championship, played under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball, the basketball sport governing body and qualified for the 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship, 2010 World Cup.
