Syeda Zohora Alauddin
Syeda Zohra Alauddin () is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a member of parliament from a reserved seat. Early life and education Alauddin joined the Bangladesh Chhatra League in 1967, and later became vice president of the district Chattra League. She was arrested for participating in the 1969 East Pakistan mass uprising. She married Muhammad Alauddin Chowdhury, an ex-freedom fighter of the Bangladesh Liberation War. Career She was elected to parliament from a reserved seat as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate in 2019. She is the woman's secretary of the Moulvibazar District unit of Bangladesh Awami League. Dhaka University
The University of Dhaka (), also known as Dhaka University (DU), is a public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 1921, it is the oldest active university in the country. The University of Dhaka was founded in 1921 under the Dacca University Act 1920 of the Indian Legislative Council. The establishment of the university in Dhaka was initiated with 600 acres of land requisitioned by the British government in 1905 after a new province of East Bengal and Assam was formed with Dhaka as its capital. Bangladesh Chhatra League
Bangladesh Chhatra League, simply Chhatra League (), is the student wing of the political party, Bangladesh Awami League, founded by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 4 January 1948. The organisation is banned and listed as a terrorist organisation in Bangladesh. BCL has been repeatedly accused of committing mass violence including torture, extortion, forced prostitution, killings to instill fear. At least 33 people were killed and 1,500 were seriously injured from attacks by BSL between 2009 and 2014. The number of fatalities rose to 129 between 2014 and 2018 while 31 people were killed in 2018 alone. The 1969 East Pakistan mass uprising () was a democratic political uprising in East Pakistan. It was led by the students backed by various political parties such as the Awami League, National Awami Party, and Communist party of East Pakistan and their student wings, and the cultural fronts (writers, poets, musicians, singers, actors, etc) against Muhammad Ayub Khan, the president of Pakistan in protest of the oppressive military rule, political repressions, ''Agartala Conspiracy Case'' and the incarceration of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other Bengali nationalists''.'' Moulvibazar District
Moulvibazar District, () also spelled Moulavibazar, or Maulavibazar, (previous name: South Sylhet) is the southeastern district of Sylhet Division in northeastern Bangladesh, named after the town of Moulvibazar. It is bordered by the Indian states of Tripura and Assam to the south and east, respectively; by the Bangladeshi districts of Habiganj to the west and Sylhet to the north.
