PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor (formerly PT Indomobil Suzuki International until December 2008) is a joint venture between Suzuki Motor Corporation and the Indomobil Group. The company is located in Jakarta, Indonesia and specializes in manufacturing Suzuki vehicles for the domestic and international markets. A separate company, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), previously PT Indomobil Niaga International, handles sales and marketing of Suzuki automobiles and motorcycles. Suzuki's first activities in the Indonesian market in 1970 were through its import firm PT Indohero Steel & Engineering Company. Six years later Suzuki built a manufacturing facility, which is the oldest part of the Indomobil Group.
