Suvarnabhumi Station
Suvarnabhumi Station (, ) is a rapid transit station on the Airport Rail Link. It serves the Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand, and is integrated with the passenger terminal. The station was opened in August 2010. It is also the easternmost rapid transit station in Bangkok at the present. U-Tapao–Rayong–Pattaya International Airport , also spelled ''Utapao'' and ''U-Taphao'', is a joint civil–military public international airport serving the cities of Rayong and Pattaya in Eastern Thailand. Don Mueang International Airport — known as Bangkok International Airport before 2006 — is one of two international airports serving Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, the other being Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The airport is considered one of the world's oldest international airports and one of Asia's oldest operating airports. It officially opened as a Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) base on 27 March 1914, although it had been in use earlier. Commercial flights began in 1924, making it one of the world's oldest commercial airports. Suvarnabhumi Airport is the main international airport serving Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Located mostly in Racha Thewa subdistrict, Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan province, it covers an area of , making it one of the biggest international airports in Southeast Asia and a regional hub for aviation. Bang Phli (, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Samut Prakan province in Thailand. It is home to Suvarnabhumi Airport (also called (New) Bangkok International Airport), which opened on 28 September 2006 as Thailand's primary airport. The district was part of the once-proposed Nakhon Suvarnabhumi province. History Bang Phli appeared as evidence that it has been a habitat since the Khmer era (around 435–1158), because many areas around it are names that are derived from Khmer such as Thap Nang, Nam Daeng, Bang Chalong etc. The Khlong Samrong canal, which is long, flows through the area and is considered a main watercourse. Airport Rail Link (Bangkok)
The Airport Rail Link (ARL) () is an airport rail link line in Bangkok Metropolitan Region connecting Suvarnabhumi Airport to the city center. The commuter rail line starts at the underground platforms inside Suvarnabhumi station, before ascending onto an elevated viaduct to Lat Krabang station, and continuing west parallel to the Eastern Line (Thailand), eastern line railway. It intersects with Yellow Line (Bangkok), Yellow Line and Blue Line (Bangkok), Blue Line before terminating at Phaya Thai station where it meets Sukhumvit Line. It is owned by State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and, since 2021, operated by Asia Era One Company Limited.
