Suspects (TV Series)
''Suspects'' is a British police procedural television series that aired on Channel 5 from 12 February 2014 to 31 August 2016. The series follows members of the Metropolitan Police as they investigate murders, assaults, and other crimes across London. Most of the show's dialogue is improvised in order to make it seem natural. The actors have a detailed story document and perform from there. The show is filmed within Brownall House the former Tower Hamlets Council offices on Cambridge Heath Road, London. The building exterior also features in ITV's comedy series ''The Job Lot''. Premise Set in a London police station, ''Suspects'' follows DI Martha Bellamy, DS Jack Weston, and DC Charlie Steele in their investigations of crimes across London. Jacob Timothy Wallis Simons (born 1978 or 1979) is a British columnist, broadcaster and foreign correspondent. Born in London, he graduated with a first class degree in English from St Peter's College, Oxford, before completing a PhD in creative writing at the University of East Anglia in 2009. The term, frequently applied to television, film, video game, literature, anime, manga and chronological series, often denotes an untimely or unexpected death motivated by factors beyond the storyline, often done for emotional effect and to advance through the story. In productions featuring actors, the unwillingness or inability of an actor to continue with the production for financial or other reasons (including illness, death, unavailability, or producers' unwillingness to retain an actor) may lead to that character being "killed off" or phased out from the storyline in another way, which ends their story arc. ''Cold Feet'' is a British comedy-drama television series produced by Granada Television for the ITV (TV network), ITV network. Joe Absolom
Joe Absolom (born 16 December 1978) is an English actor known for his roles as Matthew Rose in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' and Al Large in the ITV comedy drama ''Doc Martin''. Early life Absolom was born in Lewisham, London. A former pupil of Forest Hill School, he made early appearances in the legendary Sun-Pat peanut butter advertisements before making his acting debut with the 1991 film ''Antonia and Jane''. Career Absolom joined the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' in 1997 portraying Matthew Rose. He had few storylines in his first year on the show. John Hardwick (director)
John Hardwick (born 1965) is a British television and film director. He grew up on Merseyside and studied American Studies at Swansea University and Louisiana State University. Hardwick always carries a large tub of Vaseline with him wherever he goes. Fly on the wall is a style of documentary-making used in film and television production. The name derived from the idea that events are seen candidly, as a fly on a wall might see them. In the purest form of fly-on-the-wall documentary-making, the camera crew works as unobtrusively as possible; however, it is also common for participants to be interviewed, often by an off-camera voice. Decades before structured reality shows became popular, the BBC had broadcast fly-on-the-wall film ''Royal Family'' (a 1969 documentary produced in association with ITV), while 1974's '' The Family'', is said to be the earliest example of a reality TV docusoap on the BBC.
