Surender Singh Barwala
Surender Singh Barwala (born 2 August 1951) has been elected the Member of Parliament from Hisar constituency in 12th and 13th Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament. He was born in village Sangatpura, Jind district in Haryana, he did his B.A. from Dyal Singh College, Karnal, followed by L. L. B. from Kurukshetra Law College, Kurukshetra University. He has defeated heavy weights and business tycoon from Haryana Om Prakash Jindal of Jindal Steel Industries and Congress Stalwarts like Brinder Singh, Jaiprakash. He has also been elected to Vidhan Sabha from Barwala in 1987 and was made the Forest Minister and later Education Minister. He was in Indian National Lok Dal a regional outfit. He is now in Bhartiya Janta Party and contested for MLA from Jind Stood second by a narrow margin of 2,000 votes. Hisar Lok Sabha constituency (formerly Hissar) is one of the 10 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Haryana state in Northern India. This constituency covers the entire Hisar district and parts of Jind and Bhiwani districts. This is the list of members of the 12th Lok Sabha, (10 March 1998 – 26 April 1999) after the 1998 Indian general election held during February–March 1998. This was the second consecutive Lok Sabha, like the 11th Lok Sabha elections that did not provide the country with a stable government. Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the 16th Prime Minister of India but the government lasted for only about thirteen months due to no clear mandate. Also, the party was not able to get support from other parties, after the withdrawal of support by AIADMK. After his resignation, then President K. R. Amit Shah
Amit Anil Chandra Shah (born 22 October 1964) is an Indian politician currently serving as the Minister of Home Affairs since 2019 and the first Minister of Co-operation of India since 2021. He served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2014 to 2020. He has also served as chairman of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) since 2014. He was elected to the lower house of Parliament, Lok Sabha, in the 2019 Indian general elections from Gandhinagar. Om Prakash Jindal
Om Prakash Jindal (7 August 1930 – 31 March 2005), popularly known as O.P. Jindal, was born in Hisar, Haryana. He established a successful business enterprise Jindal Steel and Power under the flagship of the Jindal Organization, of which he was the chairman. In November 2004, Jindal was awarded the "Life Time Achievement Award" for his outstanding contribution to the Indian Steel Industry by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. According to the latest Forbes List, he was ranked 13th amongst the richest Indians and placed 548th amongst the richest persons of the world. He died in a helicopter crash on 31 March 2005. Jindal was appointed Minister of Power in the Government of Haryana. He won the Hisar Legislative Assembly seat of Haryana three times consecutively.
