''The Super Dimension Fortress Macross'' is a 3D shooting game based on the animated science fiction series of the same name and released in October 2003 in Japan for the PlayStation 2 console. Production The game was produced by Bandai and created by the Sega AM2 team that programmed Aero Dancing. The game features a blend of arcade shooting and aerial combat similar to the ''Ace Combat'' series. Gameplay In the game players play through the events of either the television animated series or the movie. The Super Dimension Fortress Macross (1985 Video Game)
is a side-scrolling shooter video game released by Namco for the Famicom in 1985. Based on the popular anime television series of the same name, the player controls a transformable VF-1 Valkyrie variable fighter in an unending battle against an invading race of giant humanoid aliens known as the Zentradi. It is one of the earliest known collaborations between Namco and Bandai, both of which would eventually merge into Bandai Namco Entertainment in 2005. Gameplay The gameplay is a very basic and fairly standard form of the recognizable style that has become part of the shoot-em-up genre over the years. is a Japanese science fiction mecha anime TV series released in 1984, as the third of the Super Dimension series.
