Tales Of Ancient Prophecies
''Tales of Ancient Prophecies'' is the debut studio album by Swedish symphonic power metal band Twilight Force, released on June 4, 2014 in Scandinavia and June 6 to worldwide audiences. It is the band's only album on Black Lodge Records; for their next studio album, Heroes of Mighty Magic, the band signed to Nuclear Blast Records. To support the album, the band embarked on a month-long European tour alongside Gloryhammer known as ''The Unicorn Invasion of Europe 2014.'' Although the album failed to chart internationally, it was a minor commercial success in the band's home country of Sweden, peaking at number 29 for 2 weeks. ''The Summoning'' is an isometric-view fantasy role-playing video game developed by Event Horizon Software (later known as DreamForge Intertainment) and published by Strategic Simulations in 1992. Gameplay The sequel to Event Horizon's first game, ''DarkSpyre'', ''The Summoning'' replaced the random-generated dungeons of the previous game with pre-designed levels. The title featured numerous magic items, as well as a spell-casting system utilizing virtual hand gestures. The game also utilized "runes" as a way to magically gain abilities or items. The game had several features typical of dungeon crawls, such as random treasure, weapon and armor options, treasure chests, and the use of a mannequin to visually aid in inventory management. The dungeon in ''The Summoning'' was broken up into separate levels and sections, with different types of monsters (such as undead) and NPCs being found in each. On 13 November 2010, the band launched the video for "Feeling Alive", and soon after this video was launched on ''Kerrang!'' as "Video of the Week". The UK magazine ''Metal Hammer'', scored the album 7/10. Track listing Critical reception ''The Summoning'' was generally well received by critics. The show centers on the Babylon 5 space station: a focal point for politics, diplomacy, and conflict during the years 2257–2262. Summoning is an Austrian atmospheric black metal band based in Vienna. Since their formation in 1993, they have released eight full-length albums and two EPs via Napalm Records. Their lyrics make extensive use of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth writings and mythology. Since 1995, their lineup has had a consistent lineup of Richard Lederer as "Protector" and Michael Gregor as "Silenius". Troy Denning is an American fantasy and science fiction author and game designer who has written more than two dozen novels. Background Denning grew up in the mountain town of Idaho Springs, Colorado. An avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, he began writing himself at the age of fourteen in 80-page spiral-bound notebooks, and began to collect the usual quantity of rejection slips. Around his eighteenth birthday, he received a rejection slip from editor Ben Bova, but one with a signature and a handwritten note thanking him for the submission. Heartened, Denning continued to write as he attended Beloit College, where he also played on their Division III football team. Career Denning joined TSR as a game designer in 1981, and was promoted a year later to Manager of Designers, before he moved to the book department.
