''Stree'' is a 1961 Indian fantasy film directed by and starring V. Shantaram, Sandhya Shantaram, Sandhya. It is based on the play ''Abhijnanashakuntalam'' by Kālidāsa, Kalidasa. The film was selected as the Indian entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Foreign Language Film at the 34th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. The film has music by C. Ramchandra and lyrics by Bharat Vyas. Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Mahendra Kapoor and Manna Dey lent their voices. Stree is a 1968 Odia film directed by "Siddhartha", which is a pseudonym for Gour Prasad Ghose, Parbati Ghose, and Ram Chandra Thakur. Synopsis One day Anuaradha and her brother, a medical doctor, find a young man, Debabrata, unconsciousness in the tides by the sea shore and bring him home. With treatment by her brother and her care, Debabrata gets well. Anuradha and Debabrata fall in love. Her brother, Prasanna, gets them married and sees off the couple to Debarata's home. Upo arriving Anuradha discovers Debabrata is actually a widower and has a son. She feels betrayed but as a devoted loving wife overcomes the feeling and gets along with all of Debabrata's family members in the big house. Gradually she gets close to Debrabrata too and takes care of his son as her own. Debabrata's sister Bhanu can't accept Anuradha and creates misunderstanding between wife and husband. ''Stree'' is a 1972 Indian Bengali language romantic action film directed by Salil Dutta. The film is based on the novel of Bimal Mitra by the same title and the era of the plot showing during the Second World War. Produced by Baby June Productions marking their second venture, it stars Uttam Kumar, Soumitra Chatterjee and Arati Bhattacharya in lead roles. The soundtrack of the film was composed by Nachiketa Ghosh, with the lyrics penned by Gauriprasanna Mazumder and Pulak Bandyopadhyay. The film showed Uttam's one of the best performance and clash with Soumitra. The film became a blockbuster hit at the box office. ''Stree'' () is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language comedy horror film directed by debutant Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & DK. It stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, alongside Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. The plot is based on the urban legend '' Naale Baa'', the words meaning "come tomorrow" in Kannada and modified as ''o stree kal aana'' ("o woman come tomorrow" in Hindi) in the film. In late November 2017, Raj & DK approached Rao to star in their debut production. To prepare for his role as a tailor, Rao learned to sew. In December, Shraddha Kapoor was confirmed as the female lead. Amar Kaushik was enlisted to direct the film in January 2018. Principal photography began on 13 January 2018 in Chanderi, with additional filming in Bhopal and Mumbai. The final schedule was completed in May 2018. ''Stree'' is the soundtrack album to the 2018 comedy horror film of the same name directed by debutant Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & DK, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, alongside Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. The film's soundtrack featured five songs composed by Sachin–Jigar and lyrics written by Vayu, Badshah and Jigar Saraiya. The soundtrack was released under the T-Series label on 17 August 2018. Development Sachin–Jigar composed the film's soundtrack, after his previous associations with Vijan and Raj & DK helped them to be involved in the film. Being the sole composer of the film, the duo contributed nearly five songs which consisted of romantic, dance and peppy numbers, that blended traditional folk and modern instrumentation.
