Stockholm Syndrome, known until 2012 as Love Generation, was a Swedish female pop group and later duo, active between 2010 and 2016. The people behind the group were Moroccan hit producer RedOne, Swedish producer Jonas "JBK" Johnson and Peter Swartling, label Legend Music Group and Universal Music. History 2010 Through an audition with over 500 contestants, five girls got picked to form Love Generation. The making of their first self-titled single started the same day as the auditions were finished. 2011 Love Generation participated with "Dance Alone" in Melodifestivalen 2011, which selects the Swedish entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest. They placed 3rd in the fourth heat, therefore advancing to the Second Chance round. It was formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and has been known by its current name since October 2007. Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. "Hold Me Closer" is a song by Swedish singer and songwriter Cornelia Jakobs, released as a single on 26 February 2022. It represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, after winning the Melodifestivalen 2022 final with 146 points. At Eurovision, Jakobs performed 17th of the 18 acts in the second semi-final, where she qualified for the grand final. The Poodles
The Poodles were a Swedish hard rock band formed by singer Jakob Samuel (a.k.a. Jake Samuels), bass guitarist Pontus Egberg, guitarist Pontus Norgren, and drummer Christian Lundqvist. The band's songs include " Metal Will Stand Tall" and " Night of Passion", the latter of which was performed in 2006 in Melodifestivalen, the annual music competition to decide the Swedish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. Alexander Urbom
Alexander Urbom (born December 20, 1990) is a professional Swedish ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with EC Red Bull Salzburg of the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). Playing career Urbom was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the third round, 73rd overall, in the 2009 NHL Draft. He previously played for Djurgårdens IF in Elitserien and Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL. He scored his first NHL goal on April 10, 2011, against Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins. Urbom was claimed off waivers to start the 2013–14 season by the Washington Capitals on October 3, 2013. Melodifestivalen 2012 is a Swedish song contest that was held between 4 February and 10 March 2012. It selected the fifty-second Swedish entry to be internationally represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 (ESC 2012). As in the editions between 2009–2011, a maximum of eight people were allowed on stage, while only persons of 16 years or over are eligible. However, in accordance with Eurovision rules, only six people were allowed on stage for the Swedish entry at Eurovision. The main singer(s) were required to perform vocals live on stage.
