A pioneer of modern Independent film, independent cinema, Soderbergh later drew acclaim for formally inventive films made within the studio system. ''Nightwatch'' is a 1997 American horror thriller film directed by Ole Bornedal and starring Ewan McGregor, Patricia Arquette, Josh Brolin, Lauren Graham and Nick Nolte.
