Kirk Stensrud
Kirk D. Stensrud (born March 1962) is a Minnesota politician and former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives who represented District 48A, which included portions of western Hennepin County in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. A Republican, he is the owner of Fish Window Cleaning in Edina, and a former medical salesperson. Stensrud was first elected to the House in 2010, unseating incumbent Rep. Maria Ruud by 107 votes. He served on the Commerce and Regulatory Reform, the Jobs and Economic Development Finance, and the State Government Finance committees. During Stensrud's tenure in the House, he supported merit pay for high performing teachers, and was part of the creation of a controversial budget surplus which involved borrowing money from schools against future tobacco settlements. Finance Credit was a Norwegian company that went bankrupt in 2002, after facing criminal investigation for siphoning funds (in total 1,4 billion Norwegian krone, NOK) it borrowed from six Norwegian banks to offshore tax havens, in what became known as the Finance Credit scandal, arguably the biggest economic fraud in Norwegian history. The company was founded by #Torgeir Stensrud, Torgeir Stensrud and #Trond Kristoffersen, Trond Kristoffersen, who were in 2005 convicted on charges of fraud to 7 and 9 years in prison, respectively. Abel William Stensrud (born 23 May 2002) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a forward for club TOP Oss. Club career Stensrud played youth football at Hasle-Løren and Skeid. Henning Stensrud (born 20 August 1977) is a Norwegian former ski jumper who debuted with the Norwegian World Cup team in 1996. Fourth places in Engelberg (1997) and Oberstdorf (1998) were his career best individual results. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Stensrud finished in the team large hill event, 23rd in the individual normal hill, and 38th in the individual large hill events. His best finish at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships was eighth in the individual large hill event at Lahti in 2001. His lone World Cup victory was in a team large hill event in Lahti in 2005. David Jonathan Stensrud (born 1961) is an American meteorologist recognized for numerical modeling and forecasting of hazardous synoptic and mesoscale weather and for incorporating new data into models. Stensrud earned a B.A. in meteorology and mathematics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. At Pennsylvania State University (PSU) he earned M.S. in meteorology in 1985 with the thesis ''On the Development of Boundary Layer Rolls from the Inflection Point Instability'' and in 1992 a Ph.D. with the dissertation ''Southward Burst Mesoscale Convective Systems: An Observational and Modeling Study''. Kristoffer Stensrud (1953 – 18 September 2021) was one of Skagen Funds founders. He served as managing director from 1993 to 2001 and Investment Director from 2002 to 2007. He was also the portfolio manager of the SKAGEN Kon-Tiki equity fund. Kristoffer Stensrud was born in 1953 in Trondheim, Norway. He studied financial planning and monetary policy at the Copenhagen Business School. Wenche Halvorsen Stensrud (born 1954) is a Norwegian handball player. She played 91 matches and scored more than 200 goals for the Norwegian national team between 1975 and 1984.
